Default Just wanted to add....

Guys;

That I am now running a Front diff (very tight) and did not have not one single part breakage all weekend.

I also now have the updated bevel gears (v.1.1), but have yet the need to install them in the car.

I just called HPI and they said that part number 73501 are the old bevel gears for right now. Hobby shops should be in the process of sending those parts back to HPI for replacement of the new parts. I still haven't needed the new bevel gears yet though.

You need to read back a few pages. There is a fix for that. It's on page 217.

As far as I was aware, the same part number is being used for the version 1 and version 1.1 gears. The 1.1 gears look slightly different, with a lot more material behind the gears, and the small gear has some extra plastic at the back of the gear.

The HPI guy didn't know whether the new parts would be under a different part number once they started shipping.

Default Possible diff adjustment

FYI: I found that treating the Pro4 diff like a tc3 diff, compressing the spring several times before building and actually tightening it down fully they backing the screw out 1/2 turn has had excellent results in both my 4's. When the diff is new it needs to be run in a pack or two, to seat everything, then readjusted the 1/2 turn out method. I havent had to touch mine after I adjusted them this way. This may be helpful to some people who would rather try a set number of turns out, before giving up and switching out the diff screw, nuts ect.

Default PRO 4 Diffs

Just ordered my new gears this afternoon. Thanks HPI! Thats the HPI we are use to. Anyways my diffs quit lossening up finally. They must have broke in. Took nearly 3 months of racing every weekend. They have been fine for the last 2 months now.
