after a couple breaks, the car is finally done, saved the shocks for last.
When the instructions say "do not crush" in big bold letters on page 23, trust me, they will crush. I'm only saying this, because I know someone else out there will do this, hopefully I help curb that.
I was tired, arm was tired, and overtightened the bottom of the shock. With the screw being warm threading into the graphite, and the pressure, it will melt / crush the shock bushing. Just be careful to snug it, and not crush it, and you will be fine. I read it not only 5 minutes before doing it to, but i could form the bushing back into shape.
other than that own builder error, the build went perfect. I'll take pics in the morning to tease the guys waiting on mail order.
EDIT - anyone else notice that the two screws on the steering shafts are PERFECT for a personal transponder. - cool moment of the night while mounting electronics at 4:00am. Have a good one!

Erik - Thats what I figured. I just used a plier to get the area behind the "ball" back into shape, and it was all good.
Here are a couple pictures, motor/batt wires are a mess, due to be replaced, and I don't have shoe goo to clean up the servo wires right now.

two screws for the steering are perfect for a personal transponder. You might need to ream the holes *slightly* on the transponder.
