Mine were pretty loud too. Louder than other servos. It's really loud in an electric truck. you know, no engine noise.

I really like the hitec 5965MG for a budget buggy servo. They have bushings on the gear pins now , so they are a lot stronger. One servo I would never put in a buggy is any Hitec 6xxMG servo, they are really weak.

My BBs are definitely LOUD I will give you that, but once my motor fires up the servo noise is no more lol. They seem like a pretty good quality product for the price I paid. The plastic feels thick, they have heat sinks around their cases, and they operate very smoothly and they are very quick. Like it has already been said, if they go bad, they were so cheap that it wont hurt my feelings.

If someone does go with the BB servos, DON'T get the one that is [email protected] At least I think that's what the specs were. A friend of mine has that in his 10th scale gas truck and you can literally count the time it takes to turn the tires. and I mean with the front tires off the ground. I don't know what's up with this one but I agree about several of the other performing well. But this one my friend has is not very good. Might be something wrong with it, but I don't know how to tell.

BMS630MG is 190/.17 ...that's what I have installed in my 1:8 buggy and it turns the front wheels very well. maybe check the model number and make sure it's the right servo? or maybe it's just a bad one. I love mine.

I reviewed the Blue Bird servos a while ago -> http://www.myrcbox.com/review_blue_bird_servos.htm

There are good servos for the price you can go wrong.

I'm going to buy the new Team Associated DS1015 servo soon. They are strong and fast.

My friends servo is the 660MG [email protected]. Info sounds good but like I said, you can almost count the time it takes to go from one side to the other. It just doesn't work too well for him in the gas truck. I used the 630MG in my buggy for quite a while till it quit. But I found that I had not spaced the servo to sit off the chassis and that's what killed it. MY BAD on that one. Learning experience.
