don't know, but I'm always fighting for more rear grip on my X. car has the tendency to spin out everywhere and can't figure it out. The WE was more stable imo.

On lower bite traction I had not really noticed a big difference with almost the exact same setup on both cars, but as traction comes up I start to feel differences between the two designs. Personally I have always felt like the WE has a lot of front bite by design. I like the X better for the way that I drive and setup cars. I am going to be converting my WE to an X chassis so that I can get the benefit from the battery position. I think the diffs being moved back on the X helps, but in my head the battery position will make the biggest difference. Both cars are great, but they really got it right on the X which is very similar to the original 416 design.

what surface and what tires?

Sorex 36, on asphalt with aggregate mix coat, no spraying. Using standard Groskamp setup. using HPI silver all around, but maybe I can use something stiffer? Gold or Pink perhaps? I can hear the tires scrubbing like its skipping during a turn.

Just started running the X and I have the same problem. It spins out or it pushes for the first minute. I will try some different setups this weekend

Go blues on the rear. harder springs will make the tyres scrub more

I was having the same problem on one
part of the track at titc

So I asked jilles to have a look at my car
he suggested that

I take a dremil to the chassis and switch
the belts

Also move the battery in closer ( which I did)
and remove two of the rear screw on the top deck to aid in more
flex ( which I also )

The car was alot more planted and i was able to gun it
out of the hairpin un like before

The only think was then I was cooking the rear and had to back off in
the final and lost my lead of one lap before the tyres cooled
of

Thought I had enough time left to get another hot lap in

But missed out by .455 of sec

And my race was over

Which rear top deck screws did you take off? Can you show pics of your mod to the chassis? Were you running Mod during TITC? I was running Mod too and my tyres overheated after like 5-7 laps.

had the same problem, apply anti-squat to the rear end and it's solved. now car is planted even with 2deg rear toe in

You mean put spacers under the rear front block? Which thickness?

yes, i add 1mm to the standard setup for 416X under the rear front block, that makes overall 1.5mm under the rear front, and 0.5mm under the rear rear

thanks for your reply redbones and Artwork... my opening race for the championship will be on carpet..hope i'll find the right setup to make the car work good...i'll try to play with weights position as you said..and hope that will help..

Going to try settings out of the norm too. Who knows, I might stumble upon something.

Does using the muchmore shock oil make that much difference? I currently use AE because that's the only oil the LHS carries. I know the viscosity rates are different, but you guys think MM55 is too hard for asphalt?
