Gizmo,
Does you steering turnbuckle hit the front rear suspention blocks when the steering is turned full left/right?
Mine does. I have checked and rechecked my building against the manual. All as per manual.

This sucks, I pre-ordered mine from RC Champ, right next door to the Tamiya factory, and you people have already got them! Mine is not even on the way yet.

hey all
We did some spool building today.
the "old" spool from the first 415 is not gonna fit the new 37 pulley`s
that`s the same problem we had with fitting the wide pitch pulley to the msx
you need the spool axle that comes with the MRE. then the 37 pulley is a perfect fit.
the sleeves don`t fit anymore, because the diff bearing holder is thicker.
you need to shave about 1mm .

Just looked at the pictures again and thought that shaving the sleeves mayby isnīt the optimal solution as they can move and rub against the bearing holders. Instead file down the lip of the bearing holder ~1mm. Sure the bearing holder may get a little thin at the nobbs on the lowside but as the diffs on 416 is run in high heigth it shoudnt be problem. The bearing holders are the same ones that are used on 501x and they are ran low on that car.

What's the biggest spur gear (64dp) that can be used?

@ old men. set your droop, en the steering arms in the front setting, and check your ackerman-setting (3mm with flourin coated ball connectors and 4mm st.settingmanual setting.
@ Miccal. Iam sorry :-)
@ Mr orange. Iam not sure about shaving the bearing holders, Ill try the sleeves first, setting the spool in the low setting gives enough room for modifiding the sleeves, shaving the bearing holders makes it thinner, and with the force of a 3.5/4.0 turn under braking..?!?As soon a have a spare bearing holder Ill try, but for now ill stick with the sleeves. As I do have them spare.
Again thnx for thinking with us!

We are racing at a high speed track with a huge long straight,,
We are doing 90 km/p + Ill seen differend brand cars with broken spools or even broken front suspension,... under braking !!
Ill try to look up a movie of me, witch was made during a clubrace so you can see the insane speed we are racing at. (5cells)
So if Iam building a car or diff or spool it has to hold!! (well at least for 5min)
