Another thing: I ordered 44mm steel swing shafts as a spare(part#54078), but do these fit with the shorter suspension arms? Since it's not possible to download the 416WE manual, I couldn't find that information...

Thanks

There's heaps of other good stuff on his site too. The 44mm shafts fit with the short arms but you have to take some material off the right rear blade to stop it rubbing on the diff nut

Hi,

i guess the TRF416WE will cost about 540 till 590 Euro (retail-store price) in Europe. Due to the latest currency changes :-(

The regular retail price could reach even 800 Euros. (which is 1000USD at the moment)

Many racers are buying the old 416 one and upgrade parts (2x 1C + 1x 1XA and 1x 1E + Evo5 Sus Arms + 44 St Swing Shafts + Spool + WE Belts) to get a cheap high performance car. You can even get a second rear brace and cut it. So you will have a oneway and the long sus arms in spare and save a lot of money. I think this is at the moment the best solution (and you don't have do wait for the WE).

But to have the full featured and full option pimped 416 you should buy the WE plus:
- VG Damper + Cup Joint Grease (Tamiya 42128 + 42129)
- Ti-Blue Turnbuckles + TRF Wrench (Tamiya 42116 - 42122)
- Ti & Blue Alu Screw Set (Square STM-74)
- Alu Servohorn for HT Servosaver (Square TGE-22TB)
- 1.2mm Damper Pistons (Square TGE-12P2)
- TRF Black Short Bumper
- Ceramic Diffballs (12 pcs)
- Diffcovers (RC Devil RC00018)
- 0° Rear Aluminum Hubs (Square STV-44MS)
- Front Blue Alu Knuckles (Square STV-35MS)
- Ti 46mm Suspension Shafts (Square STV-6C)
- Ti Wheel Axles (Square STV-50MSA)
- Ti Cross Joints for Drive Shafts (STV-50X)
- Blue TRF Damper Aluminum Retainers 1mm Down Type (Tamiya 538xx)
- Clear Blue Body Mounts Limited TRF
- Blue Servo Collars (Square SGE-19TB)
- Blue Snap Pins for Body (Square SGE-1TB)

and...

a Blue Aluminum Polished Steering Wheel for the transmitter (because your transmitter will be very annoyed not to be so blue like your 416 :-)

Just got done building the first TRF416 World Edition. It's one beautiful chassis

I started posting a few photos now - http://kentech.blogs.se/
More to follow tomorrow and maybe even a few more once I get started building my personal car.

Let me know if you got any questions regarding the World Edition or anything you see in the photos...

Hi Kentech,
there is no aluminum air duct included into the WE?

Thanks

don't forget a fur coat and hat with feather

My car is pretty pimped so I don't think I'll bother with the WE, especially with the weak aussie paso the way it is. I keep meaning to take pics but right now I'm running

- Vdezign 1 pc top deck and carbon steering brace
- Square alloy uprights, steering knuckles, servo horn (it is horn!)
- Tamiya hardened steel black/blue steering turnbuckles
- Tamiya "limited edition" black bumper
- Jaad carbon look diff covers and ceramic diff balls

Nice pics kentech, does it really not come with the air duct?

Im pretty much the same boat as everyone as I've pretty much have all the good stuff and with the weak dollar will just be buying WE parts to upgrade. Please confirm if the original 416 motor mount would fit if I just buy the new WE chassis and one piece top deck? I might also get the new belts to bring it up to WE specs.
