hi i have just recieved my speed controller and wen its installed ill be rdy to giv the car its first go.

I have the Nosram international ESC adn it says i have to add the shottky diode to my monster stock. That ok yea??

Secondly i have the motor plugs, i want to soldier them to my motor, asmits more pro, whats the best way to do this?

Finally i think that it sits to close to my motor, would this interfere?? would it be ok if i put my reciever up on its side to allow more room for speed controller and switch.

I have included a PIC of how close it is.

Yes, you should solder the schottky diode onto the motor.

I would solder your motor leads directly onto the motor, or use a different kind of connector - the standard bullet connectors aren't very good.

I would definitely change the Tamiya connector on the battery to a different kind.

Your speedo is a bit close. It won't interfere, but it will get unnecessarily hot. Putting receiver on it's side is a good idea.

Does it matter if the wires from the speedo touch the heatsinks, as the wires are a little short

Oh and i take it that if i cut the connectors off, it will invalid warrenty or not??

Dont know for sure about warranty, but around here, my LHS dont care about such things.

The heat sink wont be very hot, so it doesnt matter if the wires touches the sinks.

I used to run my receiver on it's side on top of the servo, this allowed me to place the speed controller a little further forward and away from the motor

Here is a pic of my electronics installation (in my Yokomo SD) - hopefully it will answer some of your questions.

The schottky is cylindrical, and is fitted directly onto the motor tabs, with the silver band towards the positive tab.
