Default Nitro Question

Hello Everyone,

Ok this may sound like a dumb question but here goes

Is there an actual purpose for a certain length of fuel hose
to pressurize the fuel tank? Some one once told me 10"
but really I can't see what the purpose of longer hose is.

Any comments?

Thanks

longer fuel tubing keeps a more regulated pressure input to the tank, so that there are no rapid pressure changes to the tank. this helps in fuel regulation.

longer one allows the pressure to stay up in the tank, so when u back off for a corner, it already has pressure to push that dearly needed fuel into the engine making it quicker out of corners, but it can also flood the engine when to long.

Thanks for answering my question

Which leads me to my next question as a rule of thumb
what kind of length would you use for a hose?

Thanks in advance again

I've seen Rody reply to this on his forum many times and says that he sees no real performance advantage one way or the other.I personally think it's only a fine, fine, fine tuning option that isn't really that important,i just make it about 7-8 inches and leave it at that, you get much better performance gains by playing around with things like gear ratios or exhaust lenghths and fuel for that matter then worring about the length of the pressure line.

it can help if you have many very tight corners but with straights in between, exspecially if u starve for fuel out of corners u would run a longer pipe.

but i also believe that the pressure line is counted as part of the fuel containment if u have restrictions at your track

Hmmm . . . I would just fatten up the bottem end needle a little.

No, the presure line contains exhaust gas, not fuel.
