What is a good set of rubber tires for carpet for the f103. I know the tamiya type a's use to be good but you can't find a complete set anywhere. I think the pits are good but I am not sure of the part numbers.

Thanks for your comment, Roy. As noted, I have ordered the 3racing pod but will keep the f104 alloy pod in mind. I have two f103 cars running (two grandkids).

F3 soft or medium 0544- 0547 is what we use on carpet here

Thanks to all for your comments. The Rides seem to be easier to find, I'll start with them but I would like to try the Pit Shimizu tires on the second car, eventually. Assume the Ride wheels are best with Ride tires, what F103 wheels are best with Pit Shimizu tires?

Thanks,

Thanks,
You mount them on Tamiya F103 foam rims, don't forget to drill a couple of small holes on the rims for air flow to the tire.

Here is a set:

Ride tires must be mounted on Ride rims.

Cheers!

The Tamiya parts listed DO NOT include the rear wing plastic mount. If you are replacing on a current F104W, the kit came with that wing mount. If you are buying to put on an F103, you will have nothing to mount the rear wing to the car. And no, Tamiya does not sell that mount separately.

Thanks,
You can also mount the F103 Shimizu tires on the Ride rear rims if you are using an F104 diff. That is what I ran on my F103 as an F1 and a LeMans car.
