Default Ball Cup/ Ball Stud Removal

What is the best way to take off the ball cups from the ball studs while it's on the car? I've been using a pair of long nose pliers but it always leaver those nasty teeth marks on the ball cups. Makes me feel like a dentist pulling out teeth sometimes.

It may leave marks, but it's the best way.

Find some pliers that don't have any serrations. Thats what I use and they work well.

Here`s atool that will pop any ball cup without damaging it. Go to the hardware store and get a tack remover,used for pulling staples etc. It has a "v" grouve in it,I used a cut off wheel in an air grinder but a dremel tool will work also,round out the bottom of the grouve until it will just fit over the ballstud but not the cup. When you use it slip it under the cup and give it an upwards twist and off comes the cup. Total cost $3.00.

Default Ball Cup/ Ball Stud Removal

Guys;

If you can reach the Body of the Ball Cup with some pliers, just grab firmly and roll it off the Stud. (yes it leaves marks)

2nd Choice is to buy a Ball Cup tool (already been designed) used to install and remove Ball Cups on R/C Helicopters.
