Hi!

Start from 10.0 fdr.
I don't know lrp sxx speedo but try use mode from middle, like 4 and
test temp. You should get nice speed with temp that is acceptable, on can
up to 80C deg. If you after 1st run reach more temp, then watch gearing

That is it what you should know.

Martin,

17.5 mode 9 running 5.13 FDR.. the track times are about 10-11 seconds

Would you advice going up towards 4.5-4.8 FDR to take more advantage of the ESC??

came off at 160 in the final test..

Second question, Should I change the switchpoint per the upgrade PDF to run 6000 for 17.5? and changing the switchpoint what effect does this have?

Had a shocker with tyres, however the car is a missile very happy using my local track helped getting used to the power delivery, the punch once off power then back on is freking amazing.

As per factory settings te switchpoint is not enabled there is no point in setting thatone lower as it is simply not used. Try 4.5 and see how it feels. The first lap will be very good but you need to see if it fades throughout the run

Still doesn t work fine.
I put 0000 on the motor for timing.
On the pc I can t choose anything for with sensor?

What timing should I put on the pc? I doesnt have -10 for timing?

On the speedo older version only 4 mode can t adjust cut off for lipo.
maybe need to send it in for update the software?
I will put mode 3 with 30 timing on pc and 0 on motor.
How do I reset mode 3 once I change on pc? Pushing set after setting mode3
doesn t seem to change the value.

Do I need a sensor wire? If yes the gm with switch or lrp direct?

Thanks, for taking time to answer.

Default help for GM newbie

Hi, I've just ordered the latest version2 GM90 speed control (#97164) and need some help as its my first GM speed controller. Also ordered the 7168.6 Genius USB Interface cable and a few other necessities.

After searching a little, but not the whole 92 pages, I have found for 17.5 to
use software 1.6.1 (or is it 1.6.3 ?) with firmware 11.1
reset, and calibrate tx
select mode 9
gear around 5.0fdr to start, hopefully ending up around 4.0 or maybe less
and dont need to touch anything else.

However, I want to know what every mode/selection does so I can take full advantage of the speed control.

Is there a manual in English which explains everything?

edit....I've downloaded and installed AS Genius Tool GII V. 1.6.1 , opened up the program, and when select the "?" box next to each settings, this error comes up
"The address is not valid"

So I can see the manual, but gives me the error above

edit again...... instead of installing software 1.6.1 , I downloaded V 1.6.3 http://www.gm-racing.de/rwdownload/?url=&dlid=144 and now it works, I can select any setting and get help on it, just doesnt explain very well in english haha

so obviously V. 1.6.3 is the latest software and should be used for Gen2 GM's?

Doesn't your speedo come with a manual in English in the box?

I think if you have installed the software you will find all of the manual at the help section.
