least 6 / 6-3, 8-3 / 8 most

mode 8 only makes sense when running 13.5T

with 9.5 mode 3 is best

for lipo use mode 8 copied to 3
for 5cell use mode 6 copied to 3

difference is mostly temperature and lowend punch


we are talking about stock racing ... most people don't feel anything anyways *g*

but mode 8 is pretty unprecise usually

Yeah either mode3 with m6 background if u run 5cell or m8 bckgrnd if u run lipo

Or if you got the new firmware >6.x soft curve with gearing as if you would run mode 6

Martin, if I don't race in stock class, but have to race for several days with 9.5t blue (waiting for new motor to be delivered) on lipo, what would you suggest for setup and mode to have most power and speed? It would be run with G90 4.7software. Should I copy 8 to 3 too?

Hi can any one help me as I can't down load the soft where to my pc as it said the pag is not there and can not get the speedo to chang settings but it works and all the lights work but no lights come on when you go to set it with the tx please help.
P.S sorry about starting a new thred.
Can you put a link so I can get the newes soft where as can not find newer than 6.0 and if I put that on the speedo will that fix the problem with it?

oh wow let's see if I figure out all the questions you got:

1, you got trouble downloading the programming software?

there have already been links to the pc software / usb driver posted so I'd suggest you just look a few pages back to find those

2, the esc itself works but you cannot change settings / do the tx setup?

I don't really know what you mean but you cannot program a genius 120 / 90 with the button
the tx setup should be done as per instruction / my stock how-to

3, you cannot update your ESC yourself ... and no it won't fix the problem

Hello All,

Im going to run 10.5T Grey GM and lipo.

Now i read in the how to stock that i should copy 8 to 3.
Now i've been trying many things but i cant get it worked.

I put my gm120 on program 8 by the sender.
Then i do receive data whit the pc software 1.1.5 of higher.
Then i select program 3 in advanced and then send data.
Then i click yes and then no and then OK>
When i read out the data value 33 is still 50 and not 110.

I've done it like 10 times but wont get 110.

Does anyone know a good setup for 10.5 and lipo and might someone can tell me what im doing wrong whit the copy 8 to 3.

I understood that 9,5t with lipo I should copy mode 8 into mode 3.

...But if I have the latest firmeware...- What happens then...what about the "soft curve"....

Or : If I have no Idea if my mode 3 ( the one I select wit the transmiter) is the original???

I would be very pleased if you could post the list of ALL the values that should be , after copy with success the mode 8 into the 3.

And, by the way, why copy one prog. into a mode? does that not change all the values anyway or there are some values in prog.3 that you do not change even after copyxing something into it??

I guess it does not ask you if you want to overwrite the background settings

Doesn't seem to be hacked.. more like a problem with the Mysql database (the db that holds the websites content) but getting a little bit of topic here. Point still is that you can't get any info from the website at the moment, hopefully it's solved soon

ok so

if you copy one mode into another one with the pc software you change the background settings

what you don't change is the software background!

mode 8 continues to be mode 8
mode 3 continues to be mode 3
each with it'S specific software background

if value 33 changes from 50 to 110 you did it correctly
and as you can only change all background settings at once, if one value has been changed correctly all are correct
