Hi,
Would it be ok to replace the capacitors with a single one like the Tekin has ? I'm only asking as it's tight on space in my car.

no it would definately not be ok. the speedos get delivered with as many caps as they atleast! need. using less will cause the speedo to break

Does GM have software out yet where u can hook to computer to change up timing and boost?

They have had software out to do that for several years now. It is located on the download section of the gm website.

Is it safe to use a 13.5 x12 motor with a 2010 gm 120? Any advice Martin?

four dot insert on the motor(-10deg)
15 deg variable dependant on the controller
90amp current limit
6.03 FDR
and a big fanless heatsink. This runs at 85-90 degrees c. Any more than that and there is a lot of fade despite plenty of clearance to the cut off temperature.
One thing i have found is this motor is real fussy about the gearing so yours might be different.

I was more just looking to find out what the different characteristics of the four motors are, if anyone of them is faster than another, I am not bothered about brca legality as none of the events i race in require the use of brca legal motors.
The four motors are ;
GM6553 Brushless 13.5T 1600Gauss motor
GM 97293 13.5T star wound brushless motor. 1540 gauss, 12.0mm rotor
GM 97294 Brushless motor 13.5T star wind 2010 edition 1300Gauss
GM 97303 New 13.5T Pro Brushless Motor with 1600gauss rotor
What for example does the "guass" mean?

I am looking for an alternative for the SP 13.5t 138135V3.
Was thinking of the GM 97303. I now many things about the SP, some things about the X12 LRP 13.5t but nothing of the GM 97303 13.5t.
Where can I find info on, or can someone provide me with info on:
- timing of the motor, how to set, what values available, built in timing
- how to gear in comparison to SP13.5t en LRP X12 13.5t
- is there a manual somewhere out there of the GM 97303
- how does it provide it's power? I mean for instance more power with low revs, or medium revs or high revs? Or smooth the whole powerband? Compared to SP en LRP.
- how about temperature at different FDR and with LRP SXX Stock Spec?

I am considering the GM 97303 13.5t in combo with LRP SXX Stock Spec in TC1:10 rubber outdoor.
Now a lot about SP138135V3 en LRP X12 13.5t. But nothing about the GM 97303 13.5t. I would like to start using this motor as an alternative to SP and LRP.
Please help on:
- FDR on short, medium and long circuits
- temp, easy to keep low or not and so on
- powercurve, smooth like SP or for example more power middle and high like LRP
- timing, what and how to set, in combination with SXX
- can someone provide with a manual of this motor

Hi,
I'm using the GM75 with the GM13.5t I've tried both rotors 1600+1300 and prefer the 1300 as it doesn't get as hot or fade after a few minutes. Gearing I use 4.7-5.0 outdoors and 5.5-6.0 indoors. I would like to try the Graupner motor would I still use the same gearing ?

the graupner motors are like 1800 gauss or something, so if you didnt like the 1600, then you will most likely not like the graupners.
I'm surprised you said the 1600 rotors ran hot, as I always thought higher gauss rotors ran cooler, but that may be my mistake in thinking.
