Mugen box all the way. I don't know why the other guy mentioned spare belts. I've been using mine since 1999 and never replaced a belt.

Maybe you should start driving a little more often then...

the hudy's is almost the same design as serpent's, which personally i believe it is suck, many people in my country dropped to use it. the reason is the chassis is sitting on an elevated stand, the middle of the chassis is suspended, the force is applied and the chassis takes all of it. we are afaid that the chassis will be "affected" or "bent" somehow. i threw away mine.
i have kept using mugen's and i have no complaint. the chassis is just sitting on a flat platform and you just start your car with the chassis sitcking exactly on the platform.
just my 2 cents

+1. Totally agree. I was amazed at the flex on my car when using the serpent box. While it may not be an issue, I just didnt feel comfortable using the serpent box after seeing that.
I now have 2 Mugen boxes and never had a problem with the belts.

Thanks for your feedback guys.
Can the Mugen box adjusted to fit other cars as well? I donīt plan to switch to another brand, but just in case...

I run Mugen, Kyosho, and Serpent cars.
Only thing I found that is a pain the arse, is that Mugen and Kyosho, Serpent will not line up with the same pins on the starter box. But if you dedicate the sarter box for one car, the Mugen box is great. If you use it for other brands, just identify the pin location for each car.
Never had an issue with the starter box firing up new engines.

Yes, it will fit anything. I've even used it to start dirt oval cars and RC10GTs.

What plugs, fuel and head clearence you running?

I'm not saying what I'm about to write is correct..... but maybe it can help you....
If you have mystery blown out plug too easy :
1. make sure the rear back bearing, where the crankshaft sit, is still smooth, not gritty feeling. Feel it with your finger and rotate the bearing left and right.... if it feels gritty, replace it, ..... the gritty bearing cause excessive vibrations and somehow kill the filament too soon.
2. did you ever drop your crankshaft ? and what head clearance ?
