Does anyone have 100 or 101 64 pitch spur that would post the diameter so I know it this will work without modification.
I would switch to 64pitch..sorry dont no the diameter...you would be alot better off in the long run....In my opinion....Nexus has a very good supply of spurs for the xray....

Default 100 spur

A 100 t 64p spur with a 40 t 64p pinion and the 1.7 Internal will give you a 4.25 FDR.

Hope that helps,

Thanks, I knew the numbers I need, it's the physical size that I want to make sure will work.

With a diameter on the 101 or 100 spur I could compare that to what I have now and see if it will work without modding the motor mount.

I drive on a low to medium grip carpet track also and was thinking about the new upper deck too.
I wouldn't say that one is 'better' than the other. I have tried both ways that you are describing, and I preferred the optional top deck. For carpet, rubber, low-to-medium, I would recommend using both the optional top deck AND starting with most chassis flex and go from there...you might also want to try removing the two uppermost screws from your shock tower/bulkhead to get additional flex.

I do not know the diameter.
A 100 will fit fine and give you the ratio you need if you are running 1.7 internal. If, as you said, you are running updated/upgraded pulley's.
If not and you are at 2.375 internal you will need like a 56 pinion & I have not tried that combo.

Outer diameter of my 100t spur is pretty much dead on 40mm, though it's tough to measure while mounted in my 008 US.

Thanks, in your last post I thought you were just telling me the numbers to use. I assume by this post you've actually fit a 100/40 combo in.

The SMC 4000 is a great choice. The Trakpower 3200 will also and I believe most, if not alll of the Orions will fit.

Set up question...

I just started using the new Jaco Green wheels. These wheels are taller than RP30s. I had to lower my ride heigth by 1.5 mm to get back down to 5mm. By doing that my car now dives a little more in the corners. That is due to the roll center being raised by the new wheels....correct?

If you did not adjust your droop you now have 1.5mm more up travel front and rear causing the car to roll a lot more.
