Pics?

Looks like you have to space the top deck just as on the 007.

orion 3600 might be the ticket for this car or smc 4000
This weekend I should be able to tell you. For one, its nice not to be worrying about notching the battery packs like the 007 cars lol..

Sorry to post in this thread...... nevertheless I think only you guys from xray electric car racers are the best people to answer my question.
I'm about to do pro-squat in my mtx4 and mrx4. Why? I want to get more steering at mid cornering so I can drive closer to apex. I also want higher cornering speed at tight corners and S turns.

Has anyone in EP ever tried pro squat and get tighter steering at tight corner and S corner ? get higher middle cornering speed ? I would like to confirm pro squat mentioned in xray T2 setup book is true or not. I'm looking forward to hear your experiences or advices.

Thank you my EP friends.

Do any of you know if the 6 cell euro chassis will work with the carpet top deck and stand off's? Does the euro chassis have holes for the carpet stand off's?

Thanks!

Ive used it in 19 turn up front but found it can stick the front too much for stock racing,,it makes the car super twitchy as well but that can be dialed out in your radio,,,I use it as a last resort when trying to dial an on power push out of the car on a mid to low bite track

hope to have the 008 together for this coming weekend.. see how it goes.
going to slap on the same setup from the 007 and see where it lands me and then go from there.

nice chart.
gearchart.com works but you have to edit the gear ratio field on the xray 007 pull down. maybe harsh can add the 008.. )

Any tips on a method of removing the rear anti roll bar standoffs without breaking the ball off the arm? I had the roll bar on, ran it and decided I wanted it off. I just took out the bar, but the standoffs were flopping around, maybe getting in the wheel and/or the carpet. When I tried to get the standoffs off, one ball broke off.

both of mine broke when I took off the sway bars. Looks like I will have to buy more ends , if I want to run the sways again.

Yeah, I've run it. It does work....You WILL get more steering, but the car gets twitchy and harder to drive smoothly.

so guys looking into on road, and from what i hear, the xray is a dominate car, but what version do i get?!

i will be racing mostly outdoor with rubber, so im leaning to the 6 cell rubber,

but i guess what im asking is what will i need to make the car run carpet foam if i ever want to?

thanks! sorry if i make no sense, but i've only ran offroad for the past 6 years, so enlighten me please!

well if you plan on running lipo rubber tire I would get the 6 cell. 5 Cell is more the mod chassis. The EU is a kick @$$ car. in the winter with fiew changes you can run on carpet aswell.. Worst case you want to run foam, change the chassis, topdeck and the front diff.. and you have a carpet car.. well add the arms.. the 6 cell EU is a solid car. It makes me look fast lol.

This is not True! The top deck is not a direct bolt on to the lower 2.5 mm chassis. The bulkheads on the asphalt car are closer together in the back front to rear.

I don't think so. Chassis and top deck are interchangeable between the US and EU. The bulkheads mount at the same points on both cars otherwise the two would have different diffs and layshafts.

Whilst the top deck would fit, I'm sure the front stands would fit as well. I'm not sure about the rear ones, there doesn't appear to be holes in the chassis for them.
