FYI - the fees for national events has not changed in three years. $70.00 fuel racing at ROAR national is the standard and has been since 2004. 2003 it was $65.00 and had been that way for five years prior.

come on guys.. complaining about 70.00 entry fee when tracks are having a hard time keep the doors open is a little nuts... If you want a place to race, they you need to pay... and 70.00 for a National event... this is a little low in my mind...

Sorry but I had to get that out...

My favorite, is when people show up in their $60,000 car, with 3 or 4 thousand dollars worth of stuff, pay $90 a night for a hotel (for 3 or 4 days) and then complain about entry fees and tire wear. And they complain to people, that spend alot of money so us knotheads have a place to play.
Mike's has put together a very nice facility, if they were willing to do that for racers, they deserve all the support we can give them.
If your not willing to put up, THEN SHUT UP!

Thank you Mike's, great place

But Jeff Parker is a little wierd

The main difference is that host tracks are now charging for pit spaces which adds to the cost. I don't mind paying for pit spaces as long as the host track provides a table and shade. I know of a track that charged if you pitted in thier premises during the nats and you had to bring your own table and EZ up. lol

At Mike's, you will get a nice covered pit, on concrete, with electricity. And good new tables, that aren't sagging in the middle.

And at Mike's while the race is going on your pit crew will have access to a near by computer monitor to view/track your race position/lap times etc. This is valuable information for your pit crew to figure out/change the pitting strategy. How many tracks can you mention that have that capability? Not to mention the central tire trueing station (yes, you need to bring your own tire truer) and body wash stations, which are also nice features the track offers.
