Mamba Max Vs LRP Comp Brushless
Does the mamba feel as linear as the new LRP brushless speedo?
Also it looks like the mamba can handle more power than the LRP. I like that the mamba doesn't us a fan. If something flies under the body and breaks a fan blade then the LRP may shut down after over heating.
Any cogging @ low speeds with the mamba max?

I'll assume you're asking about running the MM or LRP in a 1/10 sized stadium truck or buggy. I've run both. The Mamba Max smooth a low speeds with no cogging. That said, it is not as smooth as the LRP. Yes, the MM can handle a lot more power than the Sphere. If you're looking for a controller for a monster truck or 1/8 conversion, the MM is the choice. If you're looking for a controller for a 1/10 buggy/ST, I think the Sphere is the better choice. If you're racing in sanctioned events, the Sphere is the only choice.
You really NEED to run a fan with your Sphere? I never have with no problems.

The MM is very heavy. It will actually make your car tilt sideways when it jumps unless you add balast weight to the other side. Very powerful motor though.

the mamba max unit is very good, but has these limitations that depending on how big you are into racing you should think about:
1. The dataport is on the side of the ESC. so when mounting the ESC, you have to keep aware of where it is as some mounting locations don't work quite well to still be able to access it. I wish they would have made it a top down port.
2. Its heavy.
3. 5V BEC
4. MM Motors are not legal for ROAR Events
5. Soldering the capacitor board voids the warranty
Pros:
1. Doesn't need a dongled capacitor or a fan which is nice.
2. Pretty easy to configure with or without software
3. Can be used in a variety of vehicle types and various power requirements
4. Very cheap to own, $175ish shipped from Bishop Power Products compared to the $250 units for the other companies.
Ultimately, weight how important those pros and cons are and decide.
