I am going to try the CEFX frontend and see how it works.

It's true that those turnbuckles can be A pain in the ass, which doesn't mean that it's one of the best out there.

If you ask me, it doesn't really matter which front suspension you're going to use.
All three are very good, the AE style, Trinity and the CEFX.
I don't think it will improve your laptimes that much, it's just what you prefer.

thanks guys,
yeah, i know the reflex front end can be a little more work to set-up plus maintain (ball cups). i was just looking at how i could get a lower profile front suspension for lower bodies, ie. CEFX.

if anyone has access to some CAD and a CNC machine who can mill out a thicker hara chassis, depending on price, i'd be interested in purchasing one.

is there an interest out here on the forum for a thicker hara chassis? perhaps if i can get enough of an order put together i can have one of my contacts set up a machine to do the job.

Contact Penguin RC... they do custom CF CNC work... the more chassis are ordered... the lesser the price per chassis.

Default penguin chassis

Hey guys,
I've been running a Hamer12 for the past few weeks now, and have been pleasantly suprised how well it works on carpet (even with the flexy chassis)

However, if any of you guys happen to talk to penguin about making one, I would also be interested.

You can count me in for a thicker chassis.

There's one!

ok, here goes:

Jaco Purple fronts - 42mm
L4 front end
0 toe in
1.5 neg camber
1 + 1 shim

Copper center spring
40 wt oil
I just put a little drop of bushing lube on the damper disc to smooth it out.. (a VERY litle drop)

CRC lowered bulkheads
Black side springs
Jaco Pink rears - 43mm

That seems to work pretty well for me!
