Personally, I don't see why it needs to "pop", it's all covered up with a body on it anyway.
Holding a blue ribbon or trophy at the end of the race is all the "pop" I need.

I checked with the place that does my anodizing and they do have copper colored anodize. I am going to go with it. Thanks for the input guys. The car will go through a name change as well. There will be a conversion kit to go to the new car for a very reasonable price. Right now i need to see what the cost will be on my new front end. I have it all drawn up in cad and it is really cool. I need to see if i can produce it while keeping the price within $20.00 of where we are now. It is pretty intricate and very accurate yet easy to adjust. I will post pics as soon as i get it cut.

Copper should go nicely with just about any colored aluminum screw too...I'm just hoping we get our 1/12th class revived in time for the new car

I know what you mean. I want the machining to stand out on the car. After seeing so many of the vehicles on the market up close, i feel that we really need to make the quality of our work stand out more as i havent seen anything with as much detailed work as ours. I dont want everything to just look bla. I want everyone to really be able to see what sets us apart from the rest. All of the cars on the market work very well. I want everyone to be able to more clearly see that you get much more for your money with BMI. We do not cut corners unless its on the track.

Just listed in classifieds ... recently bought with intentions to try 12th scale and work schedule changed as soon as I bought it ... I now work the nights they race ... I am getting out completely, talk to me if I am unreasonable in asking price, but there is probably CLOSE TO $100 in NEW IN PACKAGE PARTS, CAR AND TWO BODIES FOR $149 .. most everybody on here knows more about these BMI cars than I do ... all I know is that when I decided to try 12th scale, I did my research, and this is what I bought ... thanks, tom
