It seems to happen in fast sweepers more then anything but can happen anywhere. You turn in and the chassis turns in but then it pushs a bit then starts to turn again.

Going to a thicker side dampening will reduce double steer to the point it is not noticable. I am working on some new flex plates that should be available within the next 2 weeks that really help with this also.

Can happen if you put 0.5 (maybe even 1.0's) ride height adjusters in the motor pod the wrong way up

I did a few years back and because it was lower on one side it pulled that way

Thanks, did help a lot!! Although... I still had back end problems, and they have been there for a while. Looking a little closer I realized the rear pod bulkheads are bent. As soon as I fixed that the car was thundering... Official National event starts 2mz so should be interesting now that the car is a machine on steroids or NOS or turbo.... or everything together

Car was thundering today at the qualifying rounds, but so was the sky, and we got rained out. 3rd qualifying round and finals 2mz
We officially voted in 1S Lipo for 1/12th, so I need some help. We only run Modified class 1/12th and I wanted to check which receiver pack I should get and how long they last. I see stormerhobbies has a SMC 450mAh 7.4v 20c??
Obviously using a BEC... any suggestions from experience...
Also, which 1S Lipo?? SMC has a 50C 4900, Epic has a 40C 5200. What would be better for Modified??
Do you find you need to use a lower turn motor to get the speed or is the gearing cranked up, if so how and to what???
Thanks in advance!!!

SMC receiver pack is big. I bought it but never installed.
I run 4.5 with rollout 8-10mm higher than 4 cell. I don't have run time issue with Novak smart boost but yes it's little bit soft.

Little black pack next to SMC pack is 200mAh receiver pack I used before I changed to Booster. Takes about 80-120mAh per 8min run.
My Novak booster fits under servo with bit of rewiring.

How big is your track? Asphalt or carpet? Which 1S pack are you using?

We also plan switching to 1S in modified, just want to know what gear I need to get to keep up with 4cell + 5.5T brushless. I don't see myself charging 2 packs (main pack + receiver pack) after every run, so I would probably sacrifice a bit on power to be able to use only a booster.

P.S.: yeah, that SMC receiver pack is HUGE, I don't know who is this product for..?

Track I run is for 1/8 & 1/10th scale nitro track so it's huge. Full thottle every where and rollout on my novak 4.5L motor is up to 49mm and still haven't had a run used more than 3800mAh in 9min run. Go with 4.5 / booster set up.

OK so which 8-32nd screws are 80 degree heads? I need some shorter ones then the IRS and don't feel like cutting them down. I ordered a couple AE ones knowing some are 100 and some are 80 and ended up with both as 100.

From what you are telling, sounds like you could even go with 4.0 or 3.5 with 5000mAh pack..

The AE blue ones are 80 deg heads. The AE gold ones are 100 deg heads.

I see this pack is too big. I think to use the Epic 40C 5200 mAh batteries for runtime. The booster sounds like a good option, but what do you mean when you say soft? If it is too slow compared to 4 cell, can't we gear up, use lower turn motor or crank up the power on the speed controller?

Apparently not all of them...I bought a set of blue and a set of the newer gold thinking if I was wrong on the golds the blues should be ok...nope...these are 100 degree as well.
