Considering that the old school front end was the only different front end at the time, We didnt mess with it. The speedmerchant front end was not released at the time and the CRC front end is a duplicate of the AE front end with a pivot ball so we didnt bother testing with it. I have heard of some customers trying out the Speedmerchant front end but we havent heard anything as far as feedback. I will keep you posted.

My altered frontend was run by Dumas last year at the Halloween race at the Gate, he said it was little "pushy" in mod. So, that tells me it should be A.O.K for some stock/club racing. Having faith in what your running makes a huge difference. If your constantly wanting to run what something else is running, you probably aren't getting the most out of what you have. Speaking at the club level.

I have the CRC front on my car now, in the little I've gotten to use it I like the way it feels. But I have very few runs with it so I cannot say that its worth the extra $ just yet.

Did you get a chance to weigh it compared to the stock front end? Im curious to see how much extra weight was added to that front end with all of the extra screws, pivot ball, and HPI style front axles.

No I dont have a scale that sensitive, but you may be right about it weighing a touch more.

I can take my CRC front end off tomorrow and weight it versus the Associated Dynamic Strut which I still carry in my box (assembled).

First day running the DB12R and I am very impressed. By far, the best handling 1/12 scale I've ever driven.

The SE cars are about finished. Im down to making the servo mounts and then it all goes out for its new SE color. Once i get the parts back i just need to do some secondary cosmetic touches and they will be ready. These things are looking SO DAMN COOL!! I want one!! Only 20 are being made and it wouldnt be right for me to keep one. I will be assembling 1 for pictures and then we will be selling it assembled.

LOL I wish I were a good enough driver to have my name on a SE car

Ok cool Jason...don't forget the one for my customer I'd get one too but I just can't see myself banging up such a pretty 1 in 20 car. I'll stick with the standard edition for myself

Oh by the way...a few of us Hawaii folks are going to try and make the birds this coming year. Hopefully we can all get together.

Jason, do you set up your db12 and db10 with a weight bias of 60r/40f. I'm using a Novak GTB in both cars and they are pretty heavy as I'm sure you know. Running a 13.5 Novak in the db12 and a 10.5 novak in the db10 with a rollout of 65mm for the 10.5 and 80mm for the 13.5. Sound about right to you.
