I would expect it to be a bigger difference as the wattage and rpm is different
9.5 = 19t = 225watt = 44000rpm
11.5 = 23t = 195watt = 40000rpm
13.5 = 27t = 165watt = 36000rpm

This is one of the reasons Novak has a hard time in the European market.

The comp series SP motors are manufactured by Feigio, along with Orion, GM etc etc.
no doubt there are some variances made to order by each brand, ie the Orion has a different lower half of the can with bigger vents.
I have been running the 4.5 Sp motor since the TITC in Feb 2007 where i met Wilson the proprietor of Speed Passion. The motor has a massive amout of power, though is thirstier than Novak or LRP, but is also more driveable. I know of some people who have ran the 3.5 and it sounds like a mack truck running around the track, very kool
They also make a number of other innovative products, and a pretty decent line of bodies, though some are very "similar" to other brand name bodies.

As much as this quote is correct it is only partially accurate. The cans are all manufactured by the same company after this some of the variances use different windings that are made else where. In saying that i drive for speed passion as well as Jimmy and i have had no problems so far with the products. The 3.5 motors are crazy fast and stay nice and cool as a result of the air movement through the can. The novak heat sink will also fit on the mod motors that run the fan on the shaft. The cool thing about the fan is that it sound like a brushed motor too !!!!!
