But I ordered another motor too...the Stock Rotor isn't as long and looks a bit different. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two? Is one of them better than the other? The one on the left is the stock rotor....
Most probably a running change, the one i had pulled apart had the fan blade part on it. (right hand side)

The new Feigao/SpeedPassion motors no longer have cooling fans. I believe fans cause drag and rob performance.

The new motors the guy below has not seen are the new ones Shawn is testing and liking a whole lot

Other then the fan they are identical. The fanless one should be faster.

Josh - Feral hobbies in Sydney has them for $100 AUD, and all the SP motors come with the Sintered rotors

Huh. I'd like to get one for my Orion 13.5 and see if it brings it to life. Maybe a larger diameter rotor, too, to bring up the torque somewhat.

Adrian this must be the older one then, the sticker looks quite different then the one up at the top of the page...no worries, as soon as Schumacher gives the OK, I'll get one of the newer ones Check out the tabs Speed Passion has for their BL motors. They fit in all the BL motors too. I have them my LRP motors and they're money

The old Novak bonded rotors used to use those brass shims, and it seemed to be the source of some resonance from the motor at medium RPM's. I kind of like the route LRP and Novak have gone, machining that part into the rotor shaft.

You're right about that...maybe that's one of the 'improvements' to the new line

That was only an issue in the low turn LRP mods early on with the bonded rotors. This design does not seem to hurt GM or Orion even with low turn winds. It will certainly not be an issues with 13.5-10.5 motors.
