I guess I should have said that I do have a kani2. Just got it in a trade. My only thing is it looks exactly like my 9.5 pro that I paid 400.00 for. What makes it that much better then my ofna? I will say that new mugen looks really sweet.

Their is really no comparison between the ofna 9.5 and the k2 the materials alone are incredibly different. The k2 is a little pricy but it does come ready to win without needing to purchase anything to do so. That much cannot be said about many other buggys out their.

Don't the Kanai buggies have TCDs (which are Kyosho's version of Torsen diffs) on the front and center? If so, torsens are at least $100 a peice. One thing I like about the 9.5s are the threaded shocks. Someone has told me that they are not good for offroad. Don't know why they wouldn't be.

The plastic used in Ofna kits is nowhere near as durable as what the 7.5 uses, it is race proven, and has a ton of winning history put into it. They have been winning races since the Inferno's, and I dont see much getting in their way from winning future worlds.

I would agree with him threads on aluminum shocks is really easy to strip ....imagine the amount of force applied to those threads when landing huge jumps

I don't think the threaded shocks stripping is a problem but I do know that the quality of the shock is a problem. The k2 has the smoothest and most durable shocks in the 1/8 market right now.

The lsd's that come with the k2 are NOT like torsens. they work in a very different way. Allot of the guys that run the k2 take the lsd diffs out of the car in favor of the consistancy of the standard diffs.

WHAT? LSD? whats that? I beg to differ, I run the K2 with TCD gears in front and regular diffs in center and rear. I used to run all regualar diffs all around and liked it.....like it better with TCD gears in front...more steering on and off throttle. It is not a question on consistency.....believe me.

I have been running threaded shock bodies on my Losi cars for years, never had one break on me. The springs are only about 3lbs of resistance, so you arent getting much stress on that collar even off the biggest jump.

I am going to run the TCD's in front and rear, with 7,000 wt oil in the center, that seems to be the hot setup for the K2, now I just need to worry about suspension.

I have tried the lsd's front and rear and if the track is dusty at all the thing is a real handfull. Tons of steering but inconsistant, would be ok for a qualifier but I would never run it in a main.

Running a lsd in the front and regulare center and rear is fine with a wide open track but for me that setup pushed to much form me. I have run 3k in front and 7k center and lsd (black oil) in the rear and that is really pretty decent but for the most part I now run 3k7k1k and mess with the front castor and rear toe to get it fine tuned to track conditions.

Well now I know why it is so much money, this car is awsome. I ran it today for the first time at the track and it just seemed to so much better than my ofna in every way.
