Honest Oppinion: It should work, but don't expect great things from that combination. When you start truing tires, that combination won't be very fast. Please take advice from someone who has had 4 tire truers and now has a "hudy" powered truer. (an integy with a Hudy motor and cutter)

Do yourself a favor and look at the Integy truer or an Ofna, Hudy or something that is a little more beefier, and look for a 20amp power supply, or more, something like a BullDog. You might spend a little more now, and be much happier. Or if you have a car battery, you can buy a better truer now and get a power supply later.

Good Luck

Get a BULLDOG it is no joke on the power end supplying more than the amps you will need. I picked one up when I started electric racing and have not regretted that choice yet....

Just shop around for a used 30 amp bulldog and it will be there for all of your needs and more. Don't play it cheap like I did because after buying the Bulldog I regretted my earlier purchases and found that even selling them I did not get anywhere close to my money back. SO I SAY THIS shop wise because and fool and his money will soon part. I played the part of the fool so learn from me......

try this:
Only $59, it puts out 20A.

I've used it for a Hudy and also for a manual tire truer. I've never had others tap to it, so I don't know if its strong enough if 2 or more devices are hooked up to it. But for just 1 tire truer, you should have no problem.

Anyone know of an adjustable power supply? Would this be the same thing as a rectifier?

I use that manual OFNA tire truer with this power supply: http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/158303.asp

They have a cheaper supply with no screen indicating amperage.

I true 1/8th scale wheels and had no problem with the power supply. The only problem I had with this truer so far, was that the rocker switch went bad. I took one from one of my starter boxes and it's back in action.
