Default RC Pro Race - Cincinnati

Thanks to Doug Flack, Bryan Young and the entire crew at Tri-State for both good weather and great racing. Your efforts to make this a fun time for all (especially me!) are greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to add my thanks to the Tri State crew for a great time.

Thanks to Chris Doseck, Butters, and Larry Dean for the pit work.
Eli for the setup, Corey for the INS box, Schweitzer for the entertainment at dinner, and all the racers for the great competition.

Sedan was fun, congrats to Favian on the win I just didn't have enough tire to hold him off!

Is that you Rick? What tires did you run?

Yep, it's me. I had 40f/42r. Started out at 59.5f/61.5r and ran down to the plastic in the rear with about 2 mins. left. I had another set ready just didn't want to risk a tire change since we have to use wheel nuts in sedan.

Your car looked good, too bad your luck didn't work out, or Uriah's for that matter. Both of you were fast, it would have been fun to race it out with the two of you.

I ran the same tires and pretty much the same size as Rick. I was fortunate to have just a little more rubber left than Rick. I honestly can't believe I made it through, I was driving the car super hard trying to get back in it after going down 4 laps or so due to a couple of flame outs early in the race.

Andy's car was real fast and let's not even talk about Uriah's! I felt like I was running a CO27 vs a 3.5 brushless!

Rick- Did you run Jaco's?
Yes it would have been fun to battle it out! I had 42f/45r Jaco's started at 60mm front - 62mm Rear. With as hard as I was running it after the first few flame out's I would have been close on tires. I should have put on some 50 rears with as much as the bite came up for the main.

Favian - I take it you ran BSR tires? Very nice run on Sunday!

The main was soooooo frustrating for me. The car was fast but something happened that made it only get 3:30 out of a tank of gas. Had to run out of gas a few times before my pit man figured that out. Not to mention flaming out 2 corners after each fill up. Sorry for making you run so much Ted.
Thanks for the help! I'll have to take it apart tonight and figure out what happened.

Hopefully you guys make it to the next Midwest race.

Andy,

GRP. I thought about running 42/45 but since I didn't get to try it in practice I didn't want to chance it. Oh well, lesson learned for next time. I am planning on coming over to Toledo for the last series race so I'll see you there.

Any chance the rest of the heats and mains will be posted on J-lap?

Rick- Looking forward to it.

Yeah, I was running BSR's 40F/42R. I had a set of 45's trued down to run but after the bit came up and I measure my tire wear in the last qualifier I really though I could make it. I made it but it was pretty close. The 45's would have been money. I'm sure I would have been able to run strong the whole time.
I'm gonna try to make it to the Toledo race for sure.

I am being told Sundays results did not post properly. It looks like they are in some sort of backup file. They have been sent to JLAP to see if they can recover the file.
