MOD MOTOR HELP
I have two motors that I need help with. The first is a P-94 8x2 and the second has BG or B6 (not sure) and it is a 8X1, QUESTION what degrees of timing do i need on these motors, and where should I start the gearing on them in a touring car. I run a komondo 19t at 6.25 final drive to give you a idea on our track sizes if this helps.

Both motors I would run about 12 deg of timing and start around a 8.5 FDR.

I had a patise with the p-94 today gearred it at 9.38 at 15 degrees, it was very slow my 19 turn would be quicker, run it for more than 5 minutes and the motor was just starting to get warm. Motor didn't even sound like it was working along the straight. Any sugggestions?

Make sure the commutator and brushes are good, and try the gearing at 10.00, if it doesnt sound like its working hard its not going to give you a lot of speed.
Modifieds are geared for acceleration, so dont be suprised with the ratios.
Ask around at the club for gearing advice too,as said before, its a bit difficult to suggest a ratio without knowing the track

Could someone please tell me what a 8x1 motor should rev at putting 4v into the motor?(I know ever motor is different, just the average rpm's across a couple of different motors)
