Default MOD MOTOR HELP

I have two motors that I need help with. The first is a P-94 8x2 and the second has BG or B6 (not sure) and it is a 8X1, QUESTION what degrees of timing do i need on these motors, and where should I start the gearing on them in a touring car. I run a komondo 19t at 6.25 final drive to give you a idea on our track sizes if this helps.

Well, one thing with the P-94 motor is I would narrow the brushes with a file down to a normal brush width. Not sure what the second motor is, other than the wind.

Both motors I would run about 12 deg of timing and start around a 8.5 FDR.

Time the 8x1 at 10 degrees and time the 8x2 at 15 degrees and use a final drive between 9.80-10.00 Good Luck...

turn the end bell counter clockwise to Increase timing ... as turning clockwise will give you a Negitive timing ..

So start at 8.5 final drive and work down from that? Is this for both motors?

Try at least a 9.20-9.40 to start then take it from there but 9.60-10.00 would be good. Take Care...

Make sure the commutator and brushes are good, and try the gearing at 10.00, if it doesnt sound like its working hard its not going to give you a lot of speed.

Modifieds are geared for acceleration, so dont be suprised with the ratios.

Ask around at the club for gearing advice too,as said before, its a bit difficult to suggest a ratio without knowing the track

An 8x1 should rev about 33,500rpm-37,000rpm @ 5.0v. I hope this is helpful to you. Take Care and Good Luck...
