Best 1/8th scale steering servo??

JR 9000s for the steering and throttle of a buggy
JR 9000t for the steering of a truggy and then a 9000s for the throttle
Hands down the best servos IMO

You try em all then you quit screwing around and buy a KO 2367 or 2368

Chad - I run the Futaba s9350 on the buggy. They last and last. My 9351 only survived a year on the truggy so it either has weaker gears or the extra torque it puts out is too much. You other options are the Hitec 5955 or 5995. I can tell you that your .1s Airtronics 358 is slower than the Futaba 9350 rated at .12s or the Hitec rated at .15s. For some reason the Airtronics speed specs do not line up with Ko, Futaba, Jr, or Hitec. Hopefully Hobbytown has one of these in stock. I'm pretty sure they keep the 9350 in stock.

can anyone tell me if the hi-tec tg series all make a noise and if so is that a centring alarm or fault(i have the 5997 on str and 5996 on thr)

is ''elect noise'' as it try's to hold & look for the spot the transmiter
is sending it against the load. Don't want that noise at neutral.
It's using up batt and can't be great for the servo.
A very precise set up of the horn and smooth linkage will minimize it.
As my steering wears and loosens it will whine a little when on the starter box
{full extention on linkage=more load from linkage to servo than normal ride height}
I just blip the throtle or wiggle the wheel to center the
tires and linkage and it quiet.

Ace ds1015 (14.5kg @0.10sec),without doubt the best servo out there. Most 1/8th racers in the UK now use these servos instead of the usual Ko,sanwa, futaba etc.

Ace ds1015 for throttle and steering the only way to go.

Couple of questions:
1. Are JR Servos a straight plug in on Futaba receivers?
2. Would the Ace 1015 be a straight plug in to Futaba receivers?
3. Is 128ozin enought torque for buggy steering?
