Angry Wheel and Tire question

What are the difference between 24mm and 26mm? Most people use 24mm. Why?

24mm is now the most popular width for racing tyres, they have less rolling resistance than a 26mm tyre, and they normally grip better as well (because the rubber is more heavily loaded).

26mm tyres are still common on "sport" tyres.

Then theres a whole branch of tyre "science" where people combine 24 and 26mm wheels, tyres and inserts to fine tune the cars handling and performance.

from my experiecne 24mm's are better for turning. i normally use my 26mm's on the street because my car sometimes flips when u slide on the street....or the one way gear falls off (happened twice)
