As for sanding the diff outdrives, which part of the outdrive are you actually sanding? I'm still getting slightly leaky diffs so I'm trying everything. Do you sand the bur off the end of the outdrive? I'm a bit confused...
I've got the mugen super grease coming so I'm going to grease the o-ring (been using associated green slime), outdrive and shim behind internal bevel gears. When you grease the outdrive, are you placing grease in the slot on the outdrive?

Ahhhh ok, I get you now. So you're talking about the mounting face on the diff case where the gasket sits? Sand that till it's smooth?

You are not looking to sand the cups smooth but just to make sure that the cups are square. I dont think it is necessary but it wont hurt to try it. I did it on my first x5r but on my second kit I skipped this process. I found that just by using double gaskets, o-rings from carolinas, and applying mobil-1 grease to everything was the fix.

Does anyone know how to get more on power steering? i have great off power steering but it seem to push whilst gasing it. I'm using Jason Ashton's 04 national setup.

Try some or all of these:
Heavier front diff oil, like 7k.
Shorter rear camber link.
Longer wheelbase.
More caster up front.

hey all
anyone know of good set of wheel scrapers for the mugen? I have tried the extreme racing carbon fibre ones but they are too weak and break so easy.
maybe some alloy ones or strong plastic?
if not i'm going to try making some
thanks all

Used some 2mm washers to take out the bump steer today. Was a bit faster when I stopped overdriving it. The only problem is, the threads on the steering balls don't hit the nylon in the locknut now. Anyone make a steering ball with a longer thread? I know about using loctite but if I can use the locknut like they're supposed to, that'd be better.
