I used to chop down the stock shock tower and make the body shell sits lower

Thanks Manticore & dtm. I have a lola on order. I still use the plastic shock towers so it will be less painful

LOL, they are on there so I can mount my rear view mirrors on them.

Does anyone have a good diff setup for the MTX-2. The rear end is all over the place. I mostly run foams, but sometimes I race at tracks where foams are not allowed. Here is what I'm currently running:
Front:
Light Blue Spring
80 wt shock oil
2nd hole from the bottom (Shock Tower)
Diff - 30,000
Sway-bar - Softest setting
Rear:
Silver Spring
40 Wt shock oil
2nd hole from bottom (Shock Tower)
Diff - 5,000
Sway-bar (None)
I run on tight tracks that have high bite and on 1/8 scale size tracks with high bite (Crystal Park)

What tires? That's a pretty important part of your setup too. Try standing up your front shocks all the way and laying your rear shocks down all the way. That should give you push. If not, go with some harder tires up front and/or softer tires in back.
Then you can start laying the front shocks down one position at a time and standing the rear shocks up one position at a time until you get the balance you're looking for.

I'm currently using 45 shores 26mm in the front and 42 shores 30mm in the rear. I've heard conflicting views on the shock position, I was told that if you stood the shcocks up then they would provide more traction, but you're telling me to lay them down????

What toe and camber are you running in the rear? Try 2.5 toe in and 2 to 2.5 camber (each side).
Is the back sliding on throttle and/or off throttle?
Run as little droop as you can if the track is smooth. Is the track sprayed?
Contrary to popular belief from my experience with this car, the silver spring is too soft. I'm using blue all around.

It is the other way around! Lay the shock all the way down will give you more traction but more body roll. Stand it up will give you less body roll but less grip as well!

Thanks, AH10, I'll give it a shot. This car is so difficult to setup compared to some of the other cars I've had. It either understeers or oversteers.
