Mugen XR Works - It's getting replaced so you can find it cheap. Parts are still available. Runs great. <$400

Kyosho 7.5 - Don't NEED all the Kanai stuff. Nice to have but the regular 7.5 is still awesome. ~$400

Hot Bodies Lightning Pro - Almost a copy of the 7.5. Comes with engine. Prebuilt (for those who prefer that). ~$320

Ofna Hyper 7 PBS - RTR. Nice engine for an RTR (Ofna Hyper 8 Port). ~$400

Thank you for the reply.
I like the Mugen also, I haven't been able to find many under $500 or so.

We have no Kyosho dealers near, so all parts would have to be ordered, not time or cost effective. I will look into this further though.

I looked pretty close at this one but have not talked to anyone that has seen or driven one except in magazines, again no dealers in area.

Ofna PBS-- very seriously considering this one. Someone told me it doesn't handle as well as the standard Hyper 7 suspension? Lots of Ofna dealers in the area. This also comes with a starter box right? Where do you get these great prices? I have been on eBay and a few other sites trying to find the best deal with little luck.
Thank you for all your time

My suggestion is the Ofna 9.5 MBX RTR. They have one of these on the counter at the LHS. The body looks a little wide, but the orange anodized stuff looks GREAT! Just my opinion.

It also has the .25 engine. It looks like it could easily win on the track. The suspension looks great, too.

Hard anodized shocks. I think it's about time for me to shut up.

I have a KYosho 1/8 MP-6 International rolling chassis for only $175.00.... no engine, no pipe, and no electronics.
