I got some oil to put in the differentials on my ofna lx ultra comp. I took the rear end off of it and now I'm lost. The attached pictures show the bottom of the differential do I fill up that hole with oil and put it back on the buggy? I am completly lost now that I have the rear end off of it. Please any help would be very appreciated.

You are probably going to have to completely remove the diff and disassemble it to change out the diff fluids. If it has any grease inside you also need to clean it out first. Usually you fill the diff up with fluid till it is even with the top of the smaller gears in the diff. I would use a diff fluid setup something like 5-7-2, 3-5-1, or 5-5-3.

Remove the two e-clips and the 6 screws circled on the picture below and the diff case will split in half. Then you take the diff out. There are 4 screws that hold the ring gear on (you'll see what I mean). Remove those and that is what you fill with oil. As stated above, the diff is probably filled with grease and should be cleaned out before adding the oil. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.

Well leave it to me, if it can be broken I can break it. Two of the four screw holes in the differental cracked open. Odd though I did not apply alot of force to put them back in. I also put them in alternating back and forth like putting a tire on a car. Is it possible to purchase just that part of the diff? Or am I going to have to purchase a whole bunch of stuff that I don't need just to get that one part? Is it gonna be expensive? Do they make them in aluminium? Is this gonna happen with the front and center ones too? Sorry for all the questions.

You can get them for under $10 pretty much anywhere that carries OFNA stuff like Tower Hobbies or Nitrohouse.com. You might be able to find aluminum ones on eBay, but I honestly don't think it's worth it. As far as I know that isn't a part that breaks a lot, so you should be ok on the front and center.

Yup the bell looking part there is what broke. I will goto my LHS today and hope they have it in stock they have a grand opening race coming up on the 2nd need to get it up and running by then. They guy at my LHS told me that he has a ofna buggy and he uses 7-7-1 in it, and that is what I should use. That sound right?

It doesn’t sound wrong. Diff oils depend on track conditions and driving style, so if someone at your local track has had success with that combo it might be a good place to start. A pretty generic starting point is 5/7/2 (F/C/R). 7 rather than 5 in the front will make the front end pull the car, but it will also take away some steering. 1 in the rear will make the car easier to drive, especially if track conditions are loose. I say try it and see what you think.
