Just trim the ear off the servo case. Another one runs between $5-8,

The other choice is to hack into the chassis which makes it illegal for TCS and can weaken it slightly. A new chassis is about $15-20.

So my question is if i will have to trim some of the plastic off the servo ears in order to make it fit, or is there another way to solve this issue. Thanks as always guys.
The manual clearly shows the servo ear being trimmed before install...

Thanks guys for all the helpful replies. Just as 94eg had stated, the manual clearly shows that the servo ear needs to be trimmed off. I did realize this shortly after my post.
This is actually my first on road car and so far i like the TA05 IFS very much. My second question is about the turning radius for this car. It seems to me that the car isn't turning enough as the turns seem very wide. Is this something that i should expect for this particular vehicle or did i do something wrong? Keep in mind that i am use to driving 1/10 off road buggies, and the steering with these vehicles are a lot less wide. Thanks.

Your steering should be all the way. Meaning your steering knuckle should touch the push rod. Turn radius is really small at the point. You should be able to achieve this with stock settings. That may too much steering, but you can adjust that with your epa and dual rates.

Default help with a 13.5bl gearing

hi guys,

what gearing do you suggest for a TA05-IFS with a 13.5 orion bl motor? What's the best spur/pinion combo running it with orion 3800 lipos.

thanks in advance.

Hey thanks man. You are correct about the knuckles touching the push rods. I accidentally assembled one [piece on the steering assembly backwards. All is good now and so far i like the way the car drives very much.

Hey everyone a couple of months ago I bought a TA05ifs with a brushless system and some upgrades. I now have TRF dampers and universals all around. I am fairly new to these adjustments such as adjusting ride hight, belt tightness, droop, camber, toe. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance!

Why would he download a setup book for the Xray when he is refering to the Tamiya TA-05 IFS which is clearly stated as the topic of choice for this thread?

It does describe and explain some of the concepts of TC setup which are common across platforms.

So you could learn the principles of set up?? It's a very good detailed book and you don't need an XRay to use it.
