Tamiya TA05 IFS
#542
Hey guys. Im in the process of building the TA-05 IFS kit and have come across a problem with my servo being too big to fit in it's place on the chassis. The servo i have chose is a Hitec 311 which i believe is standard size for most servos. So my question is if i will have to trim some of the plastic off the servo ears in order to make it fit, or is there another way to solve this issue. Thanks as always guys.

thank you for the link and the tip regarding the servo slop.
btw i remember that on the "ta05 perfect guide" magazine were some photos of all the suspension mounts blocks with info and sizes about them.
any idea were i can find a list with all the blocks specifications?

Thanks guys for all the helpful replies. Just as 94eg had stated, the manual clearly shows that the servo ear needs to be trimmed off. I did realize this shortly after my post.
This is actually my first on road car and so far i like the TA05 IFS very much. My second question is about the turning radius for this car. It seems to me that the car isn't turning enough as the turns seem very wide. Is this something that i should expect for this particular vehicle or did i do something wrong? Keep in mind that i am use to driving 1/10 off road buggies, and the steering with these vehicles are a lot less wide. Thanks.

help with a 13.5bl gearing
hi guys,
what gearing do you suggest for a TA05-IFS with a 13.5 orion bl motor? What's the best spur/pinion combo running it with orion 3800 lipos.
thanks in advance.

Your steering should be all the way. Meaning your steering knuckle should touch the push rod. Turn radius is really small at the point. You should be able to achieve this with stock settings. That may too much steering, but you can adjust that with your epa and dual rates.

Hey everyone a couple of months ago I bought a TA05ifs with a brushless system and some upgrades. I now have TRF dampers and universals all around. I am fairly new to these adjustments such as adjusting ride hight, belt tightness, droop, camber, toe. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance!

It does describe and explain some of the concepts of TC setup which are common across platforms.
