No Tamiya does not make an upper plate for the TA05. The MS puts everything in a different location...

It's probably better though, because if you did have an upper deck, the steering would get completely messed up. Penguin makes an upper deck (that fits terribly BTW), but it requires you to flip all the steering parts upside-down. Because of this you have to reverse the direction of the steering plate which increases ackerman (which they claim is good, but I'm not so sure)...

Hi all

Ive been looking at the IFS for quite a while as I think it looks really cool and different. Does anyone run it against normal tourers and how does it fair?
I know the driver makes the most difference but a good car always helps.

Thanks

Could be something binding in the drivetrain, remove the pinion then spin the wheels and check if you're able to spin the wheels freely.

What motor are you running, it may be over geared if it's feeling sluggish.

Had the exact problem, ended up being a diff slipping until it just locked up.

so Check your Diffs

failing that check the spur gear screws

Did you try shortening the link between the servo-saver and the bell-crank? I believe the manual says to set the servo-saver off-center to avoid the rod binding up on the saver at extreme right lock.

My friend had this same problem on his TA05-R (penguin chassis). Off-centering the servo saver about 15* and shortening the link cleared it right up...

could someone explain to me how you adjust the springing and damping on the IFS suspension, in relation to a normal setup, thanks!!

Also, a foam setup on IFS would be swell??
