Do you remember Xpress ?? It was one of the famous RC car manufacturers in Hong Kong. Having released their first 1:10 RC car in 1999, they became more and more popular in year 2000 & 2001. Xpress also organized some RC races in Hong Kong, Macau & Australia. You can see their past racing result at http://www.rc-xpress.com/catalog/race_results.php

In April 2007, Xpress is developing a new version of their Mini 1:10 RC car, named, Mini Road Runner II (MRR2); and it is now in its final testing phase. We might expect the new Xpress MRR2 available in the market around early June, 2007.

When you say it's a mini chassis, do you mean a mini-cooper style chassis, because I see no point pitting an all wheel drive car against the M03 FWD chassis. By all means compare this to the Losi XXX-S, Xray T1/T2, Tamiya 415... but comparing it to the M03 line of cars?

You might as well compare urinating standing up to Niagra Falls..... :P

I just reviewed the website. Yup this is a full size 1/10th scale RC car. This post needs to be moved to the On Road section here.

Maybe the "mini" word came about because of odd chinese to english translation.

If I were the marketing team for Dinball I'd get rid of the word "mini" if I wanted to market this car in the US and the UK. Not many 1/10th scale customers, besides tamiya mini cooper owners, are impressed by anything "mini"...OK maybe a radio receiver but that's about it.

check out that last photo. the guy smokes Marlboro lights. you'd think he'd be smoking something chinese. I wonder how much a pack of marlboro's is in Hong Kong? In Chicago they are about $6.75 US dollars.

Not sure why this is the wrong place? It's on-road electric. This is one of those fun cars. There must be a dozen bodies for the mini-cooper. Someone has decided to make a 4wd bad-ass chassis to fit all of the bodies. The M03 guys is the targeted market. Not to race against the M03, but a less toy-like chassis for mini fans to own. Taking the word Mini out of the description would be a huge mistake. At $180 list I'm looking forward to building a balls-to the walls short/narrow wheelbase mini-cooper!!.

This is kinda funny. The mini cooper race car by Tamiya is a full-size 1/10 scale car. Because it's a mini...it's a really small car. That's why it needs a special chassis. A chassis that is extra narrow and extra short. It's so small, a full size 1/12th scale chassis is pretty close.

looking at the old vs. the new mini it doesn't look like much has changed with the suspension. the battery and drivetrain layout has been updated, but the diffs, arms, and steering looks to be the same. i used to drive a mike swauger xpress back in the day, it was a darn good car at the time.

for this to be a competetive 10th scale sedan, the chassis looks a bit too wide and the suspension / steering should probably be heavily revised.
