My Brushless Revo
Hi, I put this brushless Revo together last year and have been posting on other sites, I thought I would share some info here. I started out with a Revo roller and removed the gas tank and radio/servo boxes. I made some custom battery holders, mounting hardware for the servos, custom carbon fiber plate for the ESC and custom brake linkage. I installed the single servo mod and steering travel mod. I wanted to retain the Revo tranny and disc brake, so I used a custom motor mount that utilized the stock nitro mount. I had a Novak HV 6.5 system in my E-maxx and I transplanted that to the Revo, I later upgraded the motor to a Novak 4.5 HV. Recent updates are, Tekno extended a-arms, RPM carriers, alloy push/tie rods, alloy shock parts, stiffer springs and heavier oil. Spektrum telemetry system, close ratio gear set, FOC, Center diff and rear brake. I have custom diffs that utilize 1/8 buggy diffs. The "Evo" handles like a dream, jumps well and is very fast (out accelerates my nitro truggy).

NIce setup. What batteries are you using? I wanted to do the same thing but ended up doing an XB8 instead. Nice wheels washers too

Right now I am using 3800/4200 Ni-Mh since I have a big pile of them. Performance is great, the truck handles, jumps well, it is very quick and can out accellerate my nitro truggy. I am still experimenting with gearing ( I have 43/10T and 43/13T diffs, 36, 38 & 40T spurs, 12, 13, 14, 15T pinions). When my Ni-Mh's wear out I will be moving to Lipo. The Revo weights around 10lbs depending on the batteries, which is very close to what my truggy weighs.

air8, I am using some 23mm adapters I got on the internet. They use the stock axles, which I know are a weak point. I plan on updating to 8mm axles when I get all my drive train parts together. I am still waiting on CVD's, and some reinforced transmission parts. I already have the 1/8 diffs.
