why the brass battery tray?

A couple of reasons. For one, it's position is the lowest part of the car and in the center, so this will put weight in the best spot on the car. The Motonica is already light, if you add the light weight stuff to the car, then you NEED to add weight for it to be of legal weight to race. Also, some guys use lipo batteries that are much lighter then regular cells. the Brass battery tray is used to compensate for this loss of weight. Look on YBslows website, and you will get a better idea of what these are and there purposes. His stuff is very cool indeed!!

Anyway dude, I'm am way stoked that you are on the Motonica crew as I call it now. So welcome aboard bro!! Your talents both on and off the track are most certainly welcome here. I can't wait to see what cool stuff you come up with! Keep up the superb work bro. Your products are by far some of the best in the industry. I think that you would be the only one that could make a incredible car even better with your parts. So to me, that is just cool as hell. Your probably saying to yourself "who the hell is Serpentd?" HAHAHAHA. Well you will know who I am soon when we hit a race together. I remember you, but don't think you remember me. But regardless, you will get to know me down the road. Plus I will support and recommend your products to everyone I talk to. Later man. Keep up the great work Brad!
And to all the Motonica owners out there, you definately want to purchace YBslow's parts. They are persision works of art. Just go to his site and you will see all he currently has to offer. Even though he's just started stuff for Motonica, I know he did Mugen and Kyosho stuff, plus some very cool tools (I have them all). So keep an eye on his stuff, they are simply the best you can get! Trust me, I own every other companies parts and tools and YBslow blows them away in persision, quality and Functionality(sp). Later guys!
