Default Team Lossi XXX-4 VS HB Cyclone D4

I was thinking of getting one of these trucks.

Wanted to hear which one is a more reliable truck.

I will use mainly to bash around the backyard.

Cyclone seems to be getting some good reviews.

I dont know how much info you will be able to get on durability of the HB since its so new, that being said, my vote would be for the HB over the losi, the losi can tend to burn through diffs if you dont set them properly, and tend to be more fragile than some of the other cars, and the shaft drive of the HB will be better for bashing then belt drive in the losi,

just to be sure thgouh, you do realize these are 4wd buggies right? they dont have truck bodies or tires, I'm not sure if you knew that, but just wanted to make sure,

The losi is a RACER!!!! not a basher....I could not stress this hard enough..
Everyone thinks that the xxx-4 is fragile.. well yeah if you are tring to do shit that its not designed to do, any car will brake if you beat it hard enough.. The xxx-4 should say right on the box...Designed for professional use. Only use on Sundays!!! Not enginered for bashing
I have never heard of a HB cyclone D4 but I could almost guarantee a better basher vehicle...All's I can say is I hope parts are available.

I did not realise the Losi was so fragile.

What about Team associated RC10B4 Stealth Factory Team Buggy Kit?

Would that be a better basher.

The cyclone is still very new but so far the review on it are awesome.

My local hobby shop supports all vehicles.

I realise these are 4sd Buggies and not trucks.

Are trucks better for nashing around the yard?

I read it in a magzine.

I cant remember if if was rc car action or racing lines.

Thanks, seems like the D4 is made from carbon fibre.

For bashing , get a RTR truck or buggy. There''s no need to go out and buy a "race" car/truck to only beat the snot out of it in the backyard. I'd suggest the Losi XXXT as it has a brushless motor, a damn good rtr radio, and it's reasonablly priced.

Read up on here as there is tons of good information regarding the brushless motors for newbs.

I am really after a buggy, I just love them

I have an ezilla but its turning circle is alot bigger than the evader.

I need a small turning circle in the backyard that is why I live buggies.

Any shaft drive 4wd car will be better then a belt drive car for bashing. A shaft drive car has a lot less maintanance.

For what your looking for, I wouldn't do the Losi, at least not the XXX-4 for bashing.

For you, if you are really set on 4wd, try something like the Academy SB V2 Pro. It will cost you less than the XXX-4 or D4, and has very durable parts. Academy's are known for taking a beating. And the new one is a real race vehicle.

Also, you can convert it to a 4wd truck if you want, just put on some truck rims (Academy RTG4Ps or rear traxxas truck rims) and some truck tires. You will have a truggy of sorts. Or, you can mount up the Truck parts from there gas truck and make a full blown 4wd stadium truck.

Check out the thread here for the V2 Pro, if you have questions, feel free to ask.
