Ntc3 Gears!!!

Default Ntc3 Gears!!!

HI I JUST BOUGHT A NTC3 WITH TWO SPEED TRANSSMISION AND I WANTED TO CHANGE THE GEARS TO MAKE IT GO FASTER INSTEAD OF BUYING A NEW ENGINE BUT I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT GEARING IS THERE A SPECIFIC COMBINATION THAT I WOULD HAVE TO USE OR DO MOST PEOPLE JUST TRY DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS,THE TRACK I RUN AT IS PRETTY BIG SO I WANTED A MIX OF FAST ACCELERATION OF THE LINE BUT I ALSO WANTED HIGH SPEED DOWN THE STRAIGHT,I HAVE THE STOCK 50TOOTH & 54TOOTH SPUR GEARS WITH THE STOCK 26TOOTH PINION & 22TOOTH PINION CLUTHC BELL.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

You can go either with a four tooth spread or a six tooth spread. For really BIG tracks try a six tooth spread ( 54/48 ) spur and (27/21) pinions. It also depends on track set-up. If its a small track with lots of corners, then go (54/50) spur and ( 20/24 ) pinions. I used alot of 54/50; 25/21 on most tracks here in northern calif. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know all the gearing combos that would work the NTC3?
