yea for about any carpet car you want a thicker chassis, and the t2r is most likley more flexy than the cyclone because it is fiberglass and i know for a fact that a stock cyclone is pretty stiff already and I never never tweaked mine.

Yup it will be foams on carpet.
For the Cyclone I would need to buy a front ball diff, right?
This is a tough call. I've heard of problems with the Cyclone like the belts flipping over and rubbing and parts fit problems and such...I'm really at a loss :-(
The Cyclone will be $40 more than a T2R... or should I just buy a TRF415? They are all the same price roughly.
For the Cyclone I would need to buy a front ball diff, right?

i have had the cyclone for 2 years now and not had 1 belt flip yet.the parts fit is top notch,there is no issues there either.the T2 R is a good car but the cyclone is in competition with the standard T2 as far as quality parts and is much less money.the T2 R is not in the same league in my opinion.

yeah ditto what jason said. regarding the belt flipping over - btw the cyclone instruction manual shows the centre pulley assembly (i.e. the one with the spur gear attached) installed the wrong way around - you'll need to flip it left side right compared to what's shown in the manual. if not this may possibly be what caused the belt to flip.

Ive never flipped a belt of even heard of it until now on the cyclone
