There was a thread on this a few months back. The general consensus was the system was basically junk to begin with.

Not another Launch Rail System thread!!

Say what you want about them, however if anyone has some for sale PM me. I will have no problem using them for practice.

I don't think they are in business anymore. Every since they were hit by the hurricane, I have been unable to get a hold of the guy. The Web site was up (http://www.roaddome.com), but the shopping cart wasn't working and got no responses via email or phone.

As stated, it's great for club racing. We setup a pretty big track every two weeks and it's really easy to setup and take down - plus you don't need that much room for storage.
Doesn't really matter now anyway. Can't get them anymore. Maybe someone will come up with a system that will make everyone happy.

I won't pay $2000 for 300 pieces of plastic.

4wd Sedan $450
Electronics $400
Tools/Chargers $500
Other than the tools its mostly plastic!

You just totally missed my point. There is no engineering feat involved in making plastic semicircular tubes. We are paying for intellectual property and high-quality materials in our cars.

Right guy, tell that to the person who made the machine that makes the RoadRail system. I would have to AssuMe that it's an intellectual property.

Right. It's a machined injection mold. Like your Tupperware container. But perhaps higher quality plastic. That's like saying that it is justified to pay $2000 for 300 Tupperware containers.
