400wt tamiya oil with 3 hole pistons has never failed me on asphalt/rubber tire racing.

you can always go up to 500wt/400wt with the same 3 hole pistons.. or even go up to 500wt all around if the traction is high.

how about in cement track? we are in cement track right now with some uneven surface?
how many holes should i use? oil wt?

It all depends on how much traction is available. You need to tune based on that.

Dampening plays a large part in how quickly the suspension will compress and decompress. If you use the same shock oil, less holes=slower moving suspension, more holes=faster moving suspension.

But there's also the issue of "pack" which I don't understand completely; I don't even know how applicable it is to rc touring. Maybe someone can enlighten us on the topic.

nope, cement race track Super Amigo in cabanatuan city it's a tight track with a stretch and a sweeping left after the stretch then tight corners after the sweeping corner.. are you using spool right now? if yes, how much?

oh... I think two piston holes would be good for your track with 300wt oil...

And I am not using spool yet... But the spool here in our LHS cost at exactly 1k... With the wide pitch version... I don't know though how much with the not wide pitch version...

You could always make your own spool with an old differential and some epoxy.

I think the JRX-S kit came with some sandpaper discs that you could use to make a temporary spool with the stock diff.

I have the regular TA05 spool and the only difference to a "homemade" spool is that it's all steel which is hard on the driveshaft pins.

maybe I will be having some trouble if I will made my own spool. because I don't have any old differentials and the teeth of differentials will be the issue..

about the ta05 spool, is i a direct fit for 05ms except its not wide pitch?

Yup, it fits right in.

It is a direct fit. I am pretty sure you can also use the one-way wide pitch pulley on the spool. I left the standard one on because I thought more teeth would help prevent the belt from skipping under hard braking....but who am I kidding, I don't use brakes anyway
