thanx again popsracer. i went ahead and bought a temp gun and even though its a little hard to get a reading with the body on the highest i've seen it was 272 degrees at the exhaust and about 260-265 degrees on the head. so i think i am within the temp limits. i hope it runs good for the race tomorrow like it did at the parking lot today.
