There is also some conversation going on about the new tires in the Parma/PSE thread , page 4.

Very interesting!
We can probably expect more longevity from these. Starting them at the same foam thickness as a normal tire leads a different range of diameters through their life (62-55 vs 59-52). We will be wearing through more rubber in the 62-55mm region than we would in a 59-52mm region, and that might be more runs on a set.
As long as the price is no higher than current one-stage tires, I'd run them.
(and yes, I do run my foams down to the rim)

Can these be purchased online anywhere now? If not, when?

Ok, I saw them on Horizon and the Parma website but the price was out of hand. I'm assuming they'll come back to earth soon? What do the regular Parma tires usually go for?

Does this mean they will discontinue the old ones?

From what I am hearing Jaco is also going to a big rim. I cannot confirm this. Parma did a lot of testing and they gained better results with the big rim over wraps and they are not one run tires (even at a big race).
