M.M.M. Losi BK2
I have just completed modifying a Losi BK2 to convert it into a Mid Mounted Motor version.
I have read in a couple of different forums that doing a Mid Motor Conversion changes the way the car handles and reacts and makes it similar in handling to a 4wd so i thought why not see if I can firstly make the conversion work and secondly make it handle.
I have completed the conversion today and gave the car a run out at Ipswich this afternoon just as a shakedown run to make sure it wold stay together ( which thankfully it did).
I will have the car at the Natonals at Maitland and hopefully i will be running it during the event in 2wd stock.
If anyine wants to have a look at it they will be most welcome to see the conversion work involved in changing it.
I will post pics later tonight once the camera gets here.

Is the gearbox etc sqaure in the chassis? Might be the picture but it looks like it is on an angle.
So how was it....perform as well as std?

good work and I applaude you for doing it...
but for me its just so home made and messy.... I kind of also think that why bother? I am sure companies have tried these things before and decided to go conventional for a reason..
As I said, nice work and I guess some people like, some dont

Good on ya,
I remember doing stuff like this in the 80s, doesn't always work but great fun anyway.
p.s the original schumacher cat was developed at my local track/club in England and boy it handled like a pig at the start and you know what happened to that cat!!
