stock v. modified
yes....this is a rookie question....but what is diff between stock and modified motors?
#3
thanks! so which would be better to use? mod?
#4
one really isn't better than the other. I just depends what you want to do. If you are racing then you need to decide if you want to race mod or stock. I race stock simply because my driving skills are not up to the task of controlling a mod powered car. If you just bash and want to beat your friends racing down the street then a cheaper mod may be for you.
Hope this helps

stock :
27 turns
fixed timing
bushing
mod :
any turns from 5 to 27 turns
u can set the timing (sometimes noton cheap modifieds)
bushing ou bearing
handwound or machine wound
cheapest mod is cheaper than a stock
before choosing one, see which kind of rac you want to attend, if u are a beginner go for stock it will be a better school for driving, you can use mods for practice (i heard you said u have several motors)
read carefully this page, it will help you a lot to how a motor works
