nitro advantages- possilble longer runtimes than electric (which they usually do). Don't need 4-5 batterys. runs on servos instead of speed controls. You can run longer because all you need to do is refill the tank.
nitro disadvantages- smellyer, messer, and more maintance. It's not that hard to start with but if you compare it with electric, electric is a easier thing to start the hobby.
if you asked me what i would go with, i'd say nitro. electric gets outdated faster because new batterys like the lipos come out and you end up spending a lot for the stuff. nitro just seems to stay the same. it's a gas motor and fuel.

what is a good nitro buggy for a beginner with nitro?

for a buggy alot of people say the CEN matrix. it has good servos and alright radio gear.
but the easiest way to get into nitro, i think, is by 1/10 truck. smaller motor, not as fast, easy to control, and easy to maintain. the bigger stuff you get the more expensive.

plus with electric if your running brushed motors your motors heat up pretty fast so you need to let them cool down. plus they'll end up needed a com cut which you can olny do if you have a com cutter.
brushless is better but more spender. but in the long run it's cheaper. plus faster.
