Some events here don't allow sintered rotor, was thinking of alternating between the two as required.

If you need to use a 13.5T motor with the bonded rotor, you could order one of the EX 13.5T motors to be released later this month.
This motor comes with the original bonded rotor, and costs less than the SS Pro version.

It sounds kinda small, between 38 and 40mm is the norm.
I gear mine to wind up about three quarters of the way down the straight.

what is your brushed gearing for the track? I can then work out a b/less one.
Cheers

Is anyone having thermal shutdown problems with the GTB/13.5 combo in hot areas like GA? Several of the racers in our group today, including myself, had our GTBs shutdown; sometimes after a minute or so and other times after 4 minutes.
Granted today was very hot and humid; track temp was 145F last I checked it. We were all geared in the 4.9 - 5.2 (FDR) range. One of the guys in our group fried his combo; another was never able to finish a run without shutting down.
Just curious if others in similar climates are having similar problems.
